Don’t let the market intimidate you
Buying your first home in Brisbane is exciting – but it can also feel overwhelming. You’re making the biggest financial decision of your life, often in a fast-moving market, without much experience to draw on.
That’s exactly where I can help. I take first home buyers through the entire process – from understanding what you can genuinely afford, to finding the right property, to negotiating the best price and getting you through to settlement.
You don’t need to know everything about property. That’s my job.
Here's how I help
Understand the market and what you can genuinely afford
Find properties that fit your needs - on and off market
Know what it's worth - I'm a Registered Property Valuer, not just a buyer's agent
Negotiate the best price on your behalf
Guide you through every step from offer to settlement
Buy with confidence, without the stress

How it works
Tell me what you’re looking for
We start with a call and I’ll get a clear picture of your budget, the suburbs you’re considering, what matters most to you, and what you want to avoid. If you’re not sure yet, that’s fine too – I can help you work it out.
I search, inspect and report back
I search on and off market, inspect every shortlisted property personally, and give you an honest assessment – what it’s worth, what I like about it, and any concerns. You make the call with full information.
You’ve saved hard for this. Let’s make sure you get it right.
You’ve worked hard and waited patiently while your deposit grew. The last thing you want is to rush into the wrong property, or miss out on the right one because someone more experienced beat you to it.
Brisbane’s market moves fast. Good properties get multiple offers. And as a first home buyer, you’re often competing against people who’ve done this before. That’s a real disadvantage if you’re on your own.
I level the playing field. I know what properties are worth, I know how to negotiate, and I know how to read a market. I’ll make sure you don’t overpay, don’t miss the right opportunity, and don’t get caught out by something you didn’t know to look for.
First home buyers in Brisbane are some of my favourite clients to work with. There’s nothing better than handing over keys to someone who’s bought well and knows it.
I just finalised purchasing my first property in Brisbane with Sam whilst living overseas. Sam made the experience seamless and easy with his superior knowledge, professionalism and excellent communication throughout the whole process. Sam was able to help refine my area of purchase and show the best properties within my parameters. I would highly recommend Sam as a buyers' agent!

Our frequently asked questions
How does a buyer's agent help a first home buyer?
I take care of the entire process on your behalf – finding suitable properties, inspecting them, assessing what they’re worth, and negotiating the best price. For a first home buyer, that means you have an experienced professional in your corner from day one, rather than figuring it all out on your own in a competitive market.
What makes you different from other Buyer's Agents?
I’m also a Registered Property Valuer – which is rare in the buyer’s agent space. That means I can give you a professional assessment of what a property is genuinely worth before you make an offer. You won’t overpay. Also, when you engage me, you deal with me throughout, not a junior agent.
Can you help me work out what I can afford?
Yes. I work closely with mortgage brokers and can help you get a clear picture of your borrowing capacity before we start searching. There’s no point falling in love with a property that’s out of reach, so we sort this early.
How do you find off-market properties?
Through 25 years of relationships with Brisbane agents. Many good properties are sold before they ever hit the portals, I hear about these through my network and can put you in front of opportunities other buyers never see.
What should I look for in my first home?
Beyond the obvious things like location and size, I look at land value, street appeal, flood overlays, school catchments, development potential and comparable sales. As a Registered Property Valuer I assess all of this before recommending a property – so you buy something that will hold its value and grow.
Do you handle negotiation and settlement?
Yes. I manage the offer, handle all negotiations, can bid at auction on your behalf, coordinate building and pest inspections, liaise with your solicitor, and attend the pre-settlement inspection. You stay informed at every step without having to manage the detail yourself.
How do you know what a property is worth?
I’m a Registered Property Valuer with 25 years of Brisbane experience. I assess market value by analysing recent comparable sales, understanding current market conditions, and physically inspecting the property. It’s the same process used by banks and lenders and it means you always know what you’re paying before you commit.
How involved do I need to be in the search?
As involved as you want to be. Some clients like to see everything I shortlist — others prefer I filter heavily and only bring them the best two or three options. Either way works. I’ll take my lead from you.
